The mission of DIVA DARLING is to be a sorority of sorts - a group of women who encourage each other to be fit and healthy. The DIVA DARLING program will include an interactive website where women can post and discuss wellness issues, thoughts, and ideas. The site will include loads of great wellness information!

Running Fit will also put on events FOR WOMEN (and girls) ONLY. The first DIVA DARLING night will be held May 14, 2008 at Running Fit Headquarters on Enterprise Drive. It is free of charge and will feature many booths and fun things - like massages and workshops. We plan to do 4 DIVA DARLING nights during the spring and 4 in the fall. We will have a run/walk/wheelchair, but you do not need to participate if you prefer not to! (Although you might! At the finish line, you’ll get wine, cheese and chocolate). We also plan to put on a Women’s Only 5K and a Women’s Only Triathlon (TBA). We will offer Women Only training classes--there is one already in process at the downtown Ann Arbor Running Fit Store on Thursday evenings.

Running Fit is creating a line of clothing and other fun items called the DIVA DARLING Collection. We are just getting started, but we want your ideas and opinions about what we should feature - what kind of things do you want ... would your friends buy ... would you purchase this as a gift for someone? We plan to feature the clothing on the DIVA DARLING website, sell it at Expos around the country and to perhaps sell in small specialty shops (like spas) ... and at Running Fit, of course!

Beyond the RunDivaDarling.com website, the training classes, the DIVA DARLING clothing, Running Fit has formed a charity - Running Fit Foundation, Inc. This charity will donate proceeds from the new DIVA DARLING clothing line and from event entry fees to breast cancer research and to shelters for battered women and children in SE Michigan.
